CAN YOU HELP?
The Seventh Annual Cookie Walk (Sale) will be held on Wednesday, December 14th, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (or supply is gone), at the Lutheran Home, 28910 Plymouth Road, (between Inkster and Middlebelt) Livonia.
Are you willing to donate some of the cookies you make for the holidays and help to make this event a success? Cookies need to be brought to the Home in disposable boxes or trays, on Tuesday, December 13th from 10 - 6 pm. Volunteer hours are available the evening before or the day of the Cookie Walk. Please call Hilda Schmoll, and let her know how many dozens you can donate or if you could volunteer a couple hours of your time (734) 425-4814 - ext. 3105.
We have a need for 1.75 lb. dishwasher clean, coffee cans with lids. If you have youth that want to be involved, they could assist by decorating the outside of the cans with Christmas paper before bringing them.
Thrivent Financial branches, youth groups, Ladies Guilds/Circles can use this as a Helping Hands project. We will be asking Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to match funds. Proceeds from this walk will be used towards the purchase of rehabilitation equipment for the residents.
Over 1000 dozen cookies were sold last year in less than three hours.
