Home For The Aged (HFA)
Our Philosophy
By providing quality care we
enable our residents to age with purpose, pride and dignity.
Services Offered
Our Home for the Aged is
designed to encourage the abilities of residents in their everyday
living. We offer the following services.

Private Room
-
Three (3) nutritious meals
prepared daily

Personal laundry (picked up daily)
delivered Mon, Wed, & Friday

Weekly housekeeping services.

Assistance with medication if
Supervised Self-Care
-
Assistance with bathing, if needed
-
Cable and phone connection
(resident pays for service)
-
Air conditioning and heat
regulated in each room
-
Full activity program
-
Beauty Salon and Barber Shop
-
Emergency call lights in all
rooms and bathrooms.
HFA residents receive full
access to the events and programs and services available to our
nursing home residents.
Levels of Care in the HFA
The Home for the Aged at the
Lutheran Home - Monroe provides assistance for Residents requiring
it. That is why the HFA has two levels of care:

Self-Care
-
Ability to do own personal care
-
No memory deficits under
ordinary circumstances
-
Needs minimal assistance from
nurses aide
-
Able to make your own bed
-
Requires only weekly cleaning
of room by Housekeeping Department
-
Can safely administer own medication.
- Supervised Self-Care
-
Needs occasional assistance
with personal hygiene
-
Requires minimal assistance
getting to and from dining room and activities
-
Inability to make your bed
-
Requires nurses aide to
dispense medication
-
Requires more than weekly
cleaning of room provided by Housekeeping Department
-
Requires intermittent
evaluation by Nurse, Supervisor, or Director of Nursing.
