OPERATION ENDURING THANKS:
Nearly 30 U.S. Veterans associated with Lutheran Homes of Michigan and another 70 volunteers traveled to Washington, D.C. in June 2005 for Operation Enduring Thanks, a journey to the World War II Memorial to honor and remember our nation's war heroes.
By all accounts the trip was a wonderful success. Many thanks to the volunteer Steering Committee (which included more than 100 people), the LHM staff and administration, friends and family members who helped make the trip a life-giving event for our veterans.
Click here to link to much more information about this wonderful event including the PBS documentary, NPR radio interview, and presentation at AAHSA's 2006 Annual Meeting, as well as a link to our downloads page to download the Operation Enduring Thanks Tool Kit.
